This website is run by Harvest Energy Retail Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech-recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including recent versions of VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS)
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA.
We believe this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Known limitations are listed in the “Non-accessible content” section below.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Harvest Energy Retail Limited is committed to making its website accessible, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
This website has been built with the following accessibility features in mind:
- semantic HTML landmarks (
header, main, footer, nav) and a logical heading hierarchy - a “skip to main content” link for keyboard users
- a high-contrast, visible keyboard focus indicator (3px outline, meeting WCAG 2.4.13 Focus Appearance)
- interactive targets sized to at least 24×24 CSS pixels (WCAG 2.5.8 Target Size)
- text and non-text contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA minimums against the backgrounds used on this site
-
respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionoperating system setting - descriptive
alttext on all informative images -
a correctly declared page language (
lang="en-GB") for assistive technologies - responsive layout that supports zoom up to 400% and orientation changes
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- The company logo is provided as a PNG bitmap rather than an SVG. At very high zoom levels, or in high-contrast operating-system modes, the logo may not scale or recolour as cleanly as vector artwork. We plan to replace the logo with an SVG in a future update.
-
Decorative background gradients are used on the hero image frame and
the contact call-to-action card. These are marked as decorative
(
aria-hidden) but may not render as intended under forced high-contrast modes in some browsers. - This website has not yet undergone a formal third-party accessibility audit. Our compliance statement is based on internal testing and may not capture every issue.
How we tested this website
The website was most recently reviewed in April 2026 using:
- manual keyboard-only navigation of every page
- automated testing with browser developer tools and Lighthouse accessibility audits
- colour-contrast verification against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds on every foreground / background combination used on the site
- spot-checks with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We review the site against WCAG 2.2 AA on an ongoing basis and fix issues as they are identified. Planned improvements include:
- replacing the bitmap logo with an SVG version
- commissioning a formal third-party accessibility audit once content is finalised
